Taiwan – Diner en Blanc

On November 2nd, 2019 the “Diner en Blanc” was held in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, a world event that takes place on six continents. This event is known for its white decorations and the participants’ need to wear white clothes. Another feature is that the venues are announced only shortly before the event, which generally takes place in an iconic urban location.
The idea of the “Diner en Blanc” was born in Paris in 1988, when Frenchman François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor dinner at the Bois de Boulogne, asking them to wear white clothes. The event has grown  over the years and now takes place in almost 90 cities around the world, including New York, Barcelona, London and Sydney.
This year we sponsored “Diner en Blanc” with our Bottega White Gold, a Venezia DOC, made from Glera, Chardonnay and Pinot grapes. A Brut sparkling wine with great character that, thanks to its elegant white gold bottle, was in perfect harmony with the whole event.
