Grape harvest 2023
The 2023 harvest was challenged by the heavy rains and hailstorms that occurred during the spring, and this led to grapes ripening later than in previous vintages.
Fortunately, temperature ranges between day and night, along with the careful and accurate management of harvesting and winemaking, allowed the quality characteristics of the grapes to be enhanced.
- Prosecco DOC Harvest in lower plains:
The yield per hectare was slightly lower than in previous years due to bad weather, but nevertheless we obtained more balanced wines.
- Prosecco Doc harvest in the mid-hills:
The yield per hectare was slightly lower than in previous years, but with more balanced and aromatic grapes and with more sustained acidity that provides freshness to the wine.
- Prosecco DOCG and Rive harvest in the high hills:
The yield per hectare was lower than in previous years due to hailstorms and the spread of golden flavescence. Favorable weather conditions following the hailstorms, however, allowed the grapes to fully ripen, and this resulted in wines with an interesting aromatic framework characterized by finesse and intensity.
- Harvest in Valpolicella:
The vintage was characterized by somewhat erratic weather, but this did not significantly affect grape quality. The wines produced have lower alcohol content than in 2022 and at the same time with fresher and fruitier aromas.
- Harvest in Montalcino a in Chianti:
The yield per hectare turned out to be lower due to excessive rainfall, nevertheless the grapes reached the correct ripeness and this led to balanced wines with fresher and fruitier aromatic notes than in previous vintages.
Every harvest brings its own challanges. Thanks to our team who always works to reach the best results.
